Cerebral Palsy (Luganda)
Cerebral Palsy (CP) is a group of disorders that affect movement, muscle tone, and posture, usually caused by damage to the developing brain before, during, or shortly after birth. Children with CP may experience delayed milestones, stiffness or floppiness in muscles, and difficulties with coordination, speech, or swallowing. Although the condition is lifelong, it does not worsen over time, and with early intervention such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and medical support, many children can greatly improve their abilities. With strong family and community support, children with cerebral palsy can live meaningful, fulfilling lives.
